Ingredients to make The Best Melting Moment Cookies
Batter:
- Butter
- Powdered Sugar
- Cornstarch (I always recommend organic and non-GMO)
- All Purpose Flour
- Vanilla
- Sea Salt
Frosting:
- Butter
- Powdered Sugar
- Milk
- Vanilla
How to Make the Best Melting Moment Cookies

Cookie Batter: To a stand or hand mixer, mix together softened butter, powdered sugar, cornstarch, flour, vanilla and salt. Using a teaspoon, drop a small teaspoon of batter onto a cookie sheet. Don’t worry about getting them perfect. Just plop them on the cookie sheet until until all the batter is gone. Bake for 20 minutes at 300° F. *Allow cookies to cool completely before frosting!



Frosting: To a small bowl, whip together softened butter and powdered sugar until well combined. Again, add the remaining powdered sugar, milk and vanilla and whip all together until the frosting is light and airy.

Optional: Divide frosting into smaller bowls and add food coloring to make them more festive.
Spoon a dollop of frosting onto each cooled cookie. Enjoy!

What Dye-Free, Plant Based Food coloring do you recommend?
I like to use the Plant Based Food coloring from Whole Foods Market. There are a lot to choose from, but this one I always come back to because of it’s clean ingredients, color matching ability and accessibility.
How Do I store them?
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days. They are best and freshest in the first 3 days and begin to get crumbly and more dry after that.

Ingredients
Cookie Batter
- 2 Sticks of Butter, softened
- 1/3 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 3/4 cup Cornstarch
- 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/8 tsp Sea Salt
Frosting:
- 1/4 Cup Butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar, divided
- 2 Tbsp Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- Optional: Food Coloring
Instructions
- Cookie Batter: To a stand or hand mixer, mix together softened butter, powdered sugar, cornstarch, flour, vanilla and salt.
- Using a teaspoon, drop a small teaspoon of batter onto a cookie sheet. Don't worry about getting them perfect. Just plop them on the cookie sheet until all the batter is gone. (if you do want them perfect, roll them into small, quarter size balls)
- Bake for 20 minutes at 300° F. *Allow cookies to cool completely before frosting!
- Frosting: To a small bowl, using a mixer, whip together softened butter, 3/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 Tablespoon milk until well combined. Add and additional 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon milk and vanilla and whip all together until the frosting is light and airy.
- Optional: Divide frosting into smaller bowls and add food coloring to make them more festive.
- Spoon a dollop of frosting onto each cooled cookie. Or pipe frosting onto each cookie using a pastry bag and wide tip for a more uniform look. Enjoy!

Yields about 4-5 dozen depending on how big or small you make them.
